We look for a consistently strong academic performance throughout high school and university (70% aggregate).  All candidates must be studying  towards a relevant law degree and have at least one year's academic results to be eligible for consideration.

Each year we offer a number of students the opportunity to experience first-hand what it’s like to work for A&O on our vacation schemes. You will assist your trainer – a partner, counsel or an associate – on real deals and get hands-on insight into the truly international nature of our work.

Alongside your day-to-day work, you’ll join fellow vacation students on a client pitch project designed to sharpen your team, research and presentation skills, and expose you to our broad range of clients and practice areas. In addition, you will hear about recent deals and get a real insight into the role of a commercial lawyer.
