GraduateEmployersofChoice.co.za is a comprehensive career information resource for South African students in Higher Education, powered by the South African Graduate Employers Association (SAGEA). As the voice of the South African Graduate Employer, SAGEA is uniquely positioned to provide graduating students with insight into career paths, as well as sought-after skills and qualifications, as the graduate employment landscape evolves to meet business’s talent needs.  

 

SAGEA members are committed to young talent development through a wide variety of graduate opportunities, from bursaries to internships and work experience programmes, to graduate programmes. GraduateEmployersofChoice.co.za showcases these employers and the opportunities they have on offer.  

Our Mission 

GraduateEmployersofChoice.co.za is dedicated to enhancing the career prospects of students across South Africa through access to information. We strive to bridge the gap between students and top employers, ensuring that every graduate has access to valuable information and opportunities. 

 

Why We Do This 

 

1. SAGEA Awards Showcase 

Originally, this website was created to showcase the top employers in South Africa as voted for by graduates in the SAGEA Employer of Choice Awards, adding value for SAGEA members. This remains a core part of our goal to offer graduating students an objective review of potential employers and their opportunities, helping them make informed career decisions. 

 

2. Inclusive Access to Information 

We aim to support inclusivity in graduate employment by providing comprehensive access to career information for all students. Our objective is to ensure that students at all Higher Education Institutions across South Africa have equal access to the information and opportunities shared on our platform. By offering comprehensive and high-quality web resources, we ensure that all students can learn about jobs, careers, and employers. 

 

3. SAGEA for Students 

SAGEA’s purpose is to promote graduate talent best practices, share trends on graduate employment and development and provide global insights and resources for its member organisations. Through this engagement with our members, SAGEA has developed a reputation among students as a source of career advice and attracted a strong student following. To meet this demand, SAGEA created GraduateEmployersofChoice.co.za, tailored to meet students’ career planning and job search needs in one place. 

 

4. Support Career Centres 

We support SAGEA’s colleagues in the career centres at HEIs by providing access to a career portal for their students. This helps ensure that all students, regardless of their institution's resources, have access to valuable career planning tools and information. 

 

5. Improve Student Job Search Experience 

We cut through the clutter of job boards, information aggregators, and news snippets by offering objective, consolidated, and well-informed career-related content. Our goal is to enhance the student job search experience, making it more efficient and effective. 

 

We are committed to empowering the next generation of graduates with the tools and information they need to succeed in their careers. 

 

About SAGEA 

The South African Graduate Employers Association (SAGEA) is a not-for-profit professional association representing the hub of graduate employment in South Africa since its inception in 2004. SAGEA’s mandate is to promote graduate talent best practices, share trends on graduate employment and development and provide global insights and resources for their member organisations.
