  • Bursary Details 

    If you are a South African Citizen you may qualify for a bursary for full-time studies at our accredited tertiary institutions in one of the following fields of study: Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Big Data, Mathematics/Mathematical Sciences and Statistics.

     

    This is an academic Merit Bursary open to fulltime first-year, second-year or third-year students intending to study or are studying towards Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics fields but may lack necessary resources to study further.

  • Graduate Programme Details 

    Vodacom Discover Graduate Programme

    This is a permanent employment opportunity underpinned by 2 years of skills training programme that is specifically designed for the development of future leaders.

    The applicants need to have completed at least their under graduate degree or degree equivalent by the end of 2024. Start date on the programme is 1st February 2025.

    The Programme offers graduates a full rounded experience of our business including mentorship and coaching, and on the job training, all whilst earning a full salary and enjoying all the benefits of a full time employee. At the end of the 2 years you will transition into a destination role within the organization. Following successful completion of your graduate programme, there will be opportunities to apply for more stretch assignments locally and internationally outside of your comfort zone to build your expertise and leadership capability.

    Programme Requirements

    • Must have less than 2 years working experience post studies.
    • Must be under the age of 28 years old.
    • South African Citizen by Birth/Naturalisation prior to 1994, however citizens of DRC, Lesotho, Mozambique and Tanzania are encouraged to apply for consideration in those markets.
    • Must have obtained a minimum of 65% aggregate for completed or most recent academic results.
    • Must have a minimum of a B-degree (B-Com, BSc & B-Tech) qualification (NQF 7).
    • A 3 year National Diploma (NQF 6) will be considered in the following areas only:
      • Electrical / Electronic Engineering
      • Computer Software Engineering and
      • Information Systems/Information Technology
  • Work Experience Details 

    Vodacom Internship Programme

    The Vodacom Internship programme is a 12 month fixed term contract which provides workplace experience underpinned by a carefully designed training programme. It allows one to gain valuable work experience, explore career paths, networking with professionals in the field, while earning an income.

    The applicants need to have completed at least their undergraduate degree or degree equivalent by the end of 2024. Start dates are 1 February and 1 March 2025.

    The objective of the Vodacom Internship Programme is to:

    • Develop a talent pipeline of skilled individuals for the core business areas within Vodacom; and to
    • Create opportunities for unemployed graduates with the required qualifications to develop competencies in the digital techco environment.

    Vodacom Code like a Girl

    This is an initiative that contributes to building a more digital, inclusive, sustainable future on the continent while tackling low representation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education through a structured educational programme that targets underprivileged girls. The purpose is to introduce underprivileged girls to coding basics and careers paths that are related to current and future skills gaps while also building a talent pipeline that speaks to our current and future skills needs.
