    Training and Career Development

No crypto experience required. We train you. All new team members go through a structured, hands-on program on real client work, trained directly by senior team members on proprietary SOPs, cost basis reconstruction, subledger design, and reporting standards. The digital asset accounting industry has far more opportunities than qualified professionals. We develop motivated graduates into specialists with skills that are rare, in demand, and highly valuable long-term.

We work at the frontier of a fast-growing field, and we build our team from the ground up. Our fully remote South African staff are trained from zero into specialists in one of the scarcest skill sets in modern accounting.

We hire for aptitude and attitude, not prior crypto experience. We offer South African graduates something no local employer can: specialized, globally relevant expertise, earned at a Forbes-recognized US firm, with compensation paid in US dollars. Our team members are trained directly by senior staff on real client work, follow a clear growth path from staff to senior to pod leadership, and build careers in digital asset accounting while working fully remotely from home. Promotion is based on performance, not time served. You learn a rare, in-demand skill set at the exact moment the industry needs it most.

  • What kind of candidate are we looking for?

We hire B.Com Accounting, Financial Accounting, Information Systems, and Data graduates (and final-year students) into two entry roles: Data Processing Assistant and Reconciliation Analyst. The work is transaction-level: reconstructing crypto transaction histories, reconciling wallet and exchange data, and producing clean, audit-ready records under structured training. We look for strong attention to detail, comfort with large datasets and Excel, fluent written English, and a genuine willingness to master detailed, precise work. No crypto experience is needed, we train you fully. The role requires overlap with US Eastern time (roughly 3pm to 9pm SAST) and a reliable home workspace. Full-time, remote, minimum two-year commitment expected.

Both begin with full training. Compensation is paid monthly in US dollars, protecting against rand volatility. Structured hiring process: application and CV review, a short practical assessment (under 60 minutes), two video interviews, and a 90-day paid trial at full workload leading to a permanent position. Company Description

Camuso CPA is a Forbes Best-in-State Top CPA Firm based in the United States, crypto-native since 2016. We were the first CPA firm in the US to accept crypto and one of the earliest firms in the country to specialize exclusively in digital asset accounting and taxation, built for the digital asset compliance era.

Our work spans crypto tax preparation, portfolio accounting, cost basis reconstruction, prediction market taxation, Web3 startup accounting, and IRS audit defense.

Our founder Patrick Camuso, CPA, a former Deloitte Tax Associate, has two publications in Tax Notes on digital asset taxation and prediction market tax classification, co-authored with the former head of the IRS Office of Digital Assets. He serves on the AICPA Digital Asset Task Force, has spoken at ETHDenver and other leading Web3 conferences, and has delivered CPE presentations on digital asset tax and accounting, including on 1099-DA compliance for Kaplan.
